The Northwest College Center for Training & Development (CTD) is holding an open house on Wednesday, May 1, in its new location at the Powell Armory. The event will run from 4-6 p.m., and light appetizers will be served. The facility is located approximately 1 mile east of the main campus at 1102 East Seventh Street in Powell.

The mission of the CTD is to enhance economic activity through education and training in concert with community and business needs. Instruction is offered in such fields as electrical, HVAC, plumbing and surgical technology, along with a commercial driver’s license (CDL) program and opportunities through the DELTA (Dedicated to Experiential Learning Through Adventure) program. Customized training is also available.

During the open house, visitors will have the opportunity to meet CTD instructors, ask questions, and learn more about the programs offered. Guests will also be able to test their skills on the center’s CDL, forklift and heavy equipment simulators.
