Clarence Leonard Werbelow, 87, died Sept. 23, 2023 in Cody, Wyoming. He was born July 1, 1936, in Emblem, Wyoming, to Martin and Ella (Blank) Werbelow. He lived in Powell, Heart Mountain, Emblem and San Jose, California, but retired in Powell.
Clarence married Barbara Lee Jacobs on Nov. 3, 1957, in Powell. He was a member of the Lutheran church, and was a member of the Wyoming Fiddlers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, planting tomatoes, telling jokes, and playing his guitar.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ella Werbelow sisters Irma, Gladys, Dori, Evelyn and Mary; and brothers Bud, George, Joe, Frank, Smokey and Leroy.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and was a devoted father to sons Steven Werbelow of Powell; Rodney (Julie) Werbelow of Powell; daughters Pamla Tsutsui (Wesley) of Morgan Hill, California; Kelly Utic (Richard), of Bend, Oregon; sisters Becky (Guy) Henderson of Greybull, Wyoming; Willa Jean Werbelow of San Jose, California; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 675 Avenue D in Powell with burial in the Emblem Cemetery.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers, may be sent to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 675 Avenue D in Powell, in remembrance of Clarence Werbelow.
