Mike Draper, a loving husband and father, died on Aug. 13, 2014. He was 60.

Mike was born on June 9, 1954, to Robert and Lou Draper of Herlong, Calif.

Mike worked at Georgia Pacific for 30-plus years and had many friends. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and was always looking for the next big buck to add to his collection. Some of his happiest times were when he was hunting with and sharing his knowledge and experiences of hunting with his loved ones.

His family and friends remember Mike as a straight shooter in both the hunting field and in conversation.  He was a man of unshakeable strength, who at his weakest was still considered a rock by all that knew him.

Mike was faithful to his savior and never feared the day he would join him. He was a member of Living Word of Powell.

He is fondly remembered and will be sorely missed, but will never be forgotten.

Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vickie; their three daughters, Jennifer and Francis of Nampa, Idaho, Melissa and Joe of Lovell and Christina and Frank of Lovell; seven grandchildren and brother Doug of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Dan Pool of Edgar, Mont.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Northeast Park on Quebec (next to the Lovell Camper Park). All are welcome to come and celebrate his life. Casual wear is welcome, camo is preferred.
