There were no filings for municipal office in the town of Frannie ahead of the Aug. 16 Wyoming primary election.
But after write-ins were tabulated in the primary, candidates accepted nominations to fill the general election ballot for all municipal office openings, including a contested race for mayor.
For Frannie mayor, incumbent Vance Peregoy received seven write-ins (five in Big Horn County and two in Park County), and will face present councilman Steven Richardson, who received eight mayoral write-ins (six in Big Horn County and two in Park County).
Three openings on the town council also were filled by write-ins for the general election.
For two four-year terms, incumbent Garrett Frescoln received seven write-ins (five in Big Horn County and two in Park County), and fellow incumbent Keara Poole received six write-ins (four in Big Horn County and two in Park County).
For a vacant two-year town council position, Guy DeSantis will be on the ballot in November after receiving five write-ins (three in Big Horn County and two in Park County).
