Meeteetse Museums is doing something special for Christmas this year: putting together a Christmas cookie recipe booklet. However, they need some help to do it.
The museums are asking local residents to submit a Christmas cookie recipe and their favorite holiday memory by Monday, Nov. 29.
The recipes and memories will be included — along with historic Christmas photographs, recipes, and objects from from the Meeteetse Museums’ collection — in a special edition booklet. Bakers will also get the chance to show off their cookies by bringing them to the museums’ Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 11.
“Not a baker? Help us spread the word instead!” encouraged Amy Phillips, the director of education and programs for the museums.
The booklet will be available for pre-order at the Open House (more details to come) or for purchase from the Meeteetse Museums gift store the following week.
To submit a recipe, stop by the museums at 1947 State St. or email programs@meeteetsemuseums.org.
