Virginia (Whaley) Lindsay, 95, peacefully passed from this world on Nov. 13, 2024.
She was born in Oconto, Nebraska, on July 7, 1929 and moved to Wyoming as a child. She met Wilson Lindsay in 1949 and they married on Sept. 3, 1950. He passed after 53 years of marriage.
She and a group of friends made over a thousand quilts and donated them to charities. She enjoyed gardening, going camping and exploring the great beauty of Wyoming. She was an avid reader and a lifetime learner. She was a kind person who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Lindsay, her daughter Christine Shuffield, her granddaughter Kimberly Hamblin, and great-great-grandchildren Scarlette and Thomas.
She is survived by her son Michael Lindsay, brother Elmer, grandchildren Shiloh Shuffield, Sara Shuffield, Elizabeth Botha and Teri Cramer; great-grandchildren Krista Gunter, Riley Burgher and Harrison Armstrong; and by her great-great-grandchildren Kaius and Kari Gunter, Alex Shuffield, and Joshua, Angela and Emily.
