UW plans traditional homecoming activities

Posted

After the COVID-19 pandemic forced most of the University of Wyoming’s 2020 homecoming activities into virtual formats, the university is planning a full slate of traditional in-person events for homecoming 2021 the week of Oct. 16-23. The week will be capped by UW’s homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 23, against New Mexico.

The homecoming theme is “Come Home, Cowboys,” and the sponsor is UniWyo Federal Credit Union.

“We sure missed seeing our alumni and friends in Laramie for homecoming in 2020; however, we are filled with excitement to welcome our fans back to Laramie for homecoming 2021,” says Keener Fry, executive director of the UW Alumni Association. “Our alumni and friends will bring an energy and passion to the campus that is unprecedented during the fall. Our staff and UW colleagues have already begun developing a full schedule of events to keep you engaged for the weekend.”

Fry encourages alumni and others to follow the Alumni Association on social media and check www.uwyo.edu/homecoming to stay informed of activities as they are finalized.
