Dear editor:
I’m traveling around Powell this past several weeks, volunteering at several locations.
I was checking out all the public lands and natural resources. I ran into some very nice people again. Near the airport, I met Howitzer (a bulldog) and Janene. Friendly right from the start. This doggy made an attempt to go between my knees and finally succeeded. Janene said, “Oh, you’re too kind.”
I just fell over and laughed.
Justin Brown at Cold Springs Auto made all this possible along with kit to restore my ’88 F-150. It’s nice to be driving again. Justin and Kitt, thank you again.
I also met a gal named Valerie and her doggy Halo. They were super friendly, great to be around. Their personalities reflect greatly on the doggy and their dogs. The people around here should be very happy to have many places to walk and hike with their canine friends. I know I feel lucky to have many great places and generous places to visit.
Other great people I have met were two police officers. They were just awesome.
All the other people I have met were Beau and Callie and their family, Danielle, Brittany, Donna, Clynette, Marvin, Crystal and Venus and Tim, the principal at the high school. Also the people at Hope Lutheran Church, Anna and Steve at the Powell Tribune.
The Public Health Department of Family Services; these are all God’s people and they are simply amazing.
So you see, look at all these great areas that we can go to. Don’t lose hope, keep the faith, kind regards.
God bless.
Spirit and Douglas
