Dear Editor:
What a delight to meet Brent Bien, our gubernatorial candidate for Wyoming!
He has spent his career building the skills necessary to address federal government overreach in our beautiful state. What are his skills that put a smile on my face and a song of hope in my heart? That’s easy – his formal education at the University of Wyoming was in engineering, and he used those skills successfully in planning and executing projects in his career as a Marine Corps colonel.
I have listened to him speak at meet and greet gatherings. He doesn’t promise the moon; he promises to study what the best approaches can be to turn our state in a positive direction. He desires Wyoming to exercise sovereignty over our energy, our land and our wildlife.
My favorite sentence he gave during one of his discussions was in response to how he would handle federal offers with strings attached. “I can say no.”
Brent Bien will be a good governor!
