Dear Editor:
Mr. Allan Knopp appears to know a lot about the Constitution of the United States and the Second Amendment.
I wonder if he would feel the same if one of the 19 children or one of the two teachers that were killed were from his own family. The Second Amendment did not protect them.
Some people are not mentally stable enough to carry a gun, Second Amendment or not.
As for the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, it should only happen in third-world countries, not the United States of America, regardless of who is president.
As for Rep. Liz Cheney, she is the only one of the Republicans that understands the Constitution and has the guts to stand up for democracy.
I am an 80-year-old man who hopes not to see what happened on Jan. 6 ever again.
