Seven Cowboys receive All-Conference honors

The Mountain West Conference released its 2020 All-Conference Football Team on Tuesday, with seven Wyoming Cowboys being honored.

Three Cowboys earned First Team honors: junior running back Xazavian Valladay, junior center Keegan Cryder and junior linebacker Chad Muma.

Valladay earned All-Conference honors for the second consecutive season. He also led the Mountain West in rushing for the second straight year. Cryder was a Second Team selection as a sophomore in 2019, before being named to the First Team this year. For Muma, it was the first All-Conference honor of his career.

True freshman place-kicker John Hoyland was selected to the Second Team. Hoyland was the only freshman in the conference named to either the First or Second Team.

Three other Cowboys earned Honorable Mention All-Mountain West honors: senior safety Esaias Gandy, senior offensive guard Logan Harris and redshirt freshman wide receiver Isaiah Neyor. Harris earned Honorable Mention honors for the second consecutive season. Gandy and Neyor each earned their first Honorable Mention recognition.

The All-Conference Team was selected in a vote of the Mountain West head football coaches and media members from across the Mountain West.
