On Oct. 18, 2024, Ronald Milton Ferguson Sr., born June 24, 1945, passed away and reunited with his wife of 56 years, Mona Rae Ferguson, born March 9, 1947, who passed away on Feb. 16, 2022.

Most knew Ron as “The Goat” or “Old Man” and Mona as “Old Lady” or “Ol’ Bat,” but many of us had the honor of calling them Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, GP and Grams.

Ron and Mona were both active and highly known members of their community. Before owning and operating an established tire business of 50 years, you would find them living it up at a Jeep rally, playing in the snow up in Crandall, or at any event supporting their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ron and Mona lived their lives in full gear; timeless stories and memories are evidence of the countless miles they traveled and treasured together. Their stubborness to let nothing hold them back, to always have a good time, and to live life to its fullest potential is a testament to who they are and the legacy they leave with so many.

As Ron would say,

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming … DAMN, WHAT A RIDE!”

Ron and Mona are survived by their children and families:

Son, Ronald (Shanell) Ferguson Jr.; grandchild, Ronald Ferguson III; and great-grandchildren, Owen, Stetson and Forrest.

Daughter, Glenda (Greg) Lynch; grandchildren, Kelsey (Jacob) Hooper, Garrett (Cally) Lynch; and great-grandchildren, Tristin, Carter, Oaklie, Sawyer and Piper.

Mona’s brother, George (Bonnie) Bonawitz.

The family invites you to join us on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. to celebrate the remarkable lives of Ron and Mona Ferguson. It will be a time to share fond memories, celebrate their achievments, and most importantly, to bask in the warmth of their love that continues to surround us.

The celebration will be at the Yellowstone Building at Seventh and Division streets at Northwest College, Powell, WY 82435. Luncheon to follow and dress code is casual.

In lieu of flowers, donations are greatly appreciated towards the Park County Animal Shelter.
