Rogelio worked at Smith Farms for over 40 years and continued to help out into his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending quality time with his family in his free time.

Rogelio is survived by his wife of 48 years, Isabel; daughters Sylvia (Omar) Salazar, Chris (Aaron) Moody, Veronica Jones, and son Rogelio (Jackie) Salas, Jr.; grandchildren Monica, Marivel, Marina and Miranda Salazar; Ashley, Johnathon, Leah and Matthew Moody; Tyson, Tony and Shawntay Jones; Kaden and Shandi Salas; and great grandson Javier Salazar.

He is also survived by sisters Francis, Belya, Lupe, Dora and Connie; brothers Alejandro, Julian, Jose, Manuel, and Jesus and their spouses.

Rogelio was preceded in death by his parents, sister Irma, and son-in-law Angel Jones.

I cried when you passed away, I still cry today.

Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke my heart to prove to me he only takes the best.
