Rocky Mountain Manor has been awarded a $410,494 grant from the state to upgrade part of its building and expand services, according to a press release.
The retirement home plans to use this reimbursable grant for revamping the front entrance with ADA accessibility and adding additional parking for mobile clinics and expanded services. There will also be upgrades to the electrical panels in the residential rooms, and HVAC upgrades for improved ventilation systems throughout the facility.
The funds come from the Wyoming Department of Health Office of Performance Improvement and Health Equity to support Wyoming’s COVID-19 Health Disparity Grant.
Wyoming has dedicated $8.1 million of federal funding to help eligible entities build up the health care infrastructure and address historical inequities in their communities. The funding is part of Wyoming’s $38.8 million allocation from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for its COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant. The Align Team manages this portion of the COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant for the Wyoming Department of Health.
