To the community of Powell:
Recently we attended my cousin’s son’s funeral in Powell. I want to commend and thank the police department and the community for the respect shown to the funeral procession.
Fortunately, it’s been a long time since I’ve needed to attend a service in a small town and it was heartwarming to see that people still do have respect for funeral processions.
Every car pulled over and allowed the procession to proceed together. Thank you. Also, thank you to each member of the Powell Police Department who participated in traffic control. The respect you showed by placing your hat over your heart did not go unnoticed.
I would also like to thank the outpouring of support to both my cousin and her ex-husband as they navigate their new “normal” life. I live in a small town myself, and I choose to because of the sense of community that small towns give.
Respectfully,
Connie Snow
