Dear Editor:
I am a hunter and a gun owner. After reading Tuesday’s newspaper I am very disappointed in the Tribune for printing and giving free advertisement to a company that is “giving” away weapons.
Let’s be clear about it, the AR-15 was made to kill people. At a time when our nation is facing real problems with shootings, no one needs a weapon that is capable of firing 30 rounds in less than a minute. It is easy to talk about your rights until your child is one of several bleeding to death on a classroom floor.
If you think this is about protecting yourself from “the” government then you need to know more about tactics, tanks, and armored vehicles.
And there are no freebies, so before you make space in your gun safe, check prices. There are several excellent contractors and roofers in the area.
