Wyoming Right to Life is compelled to defend itself from the misrepresentation by candidate for Senate District 18, Landon Greer at the Republican Party legislative candidate debate at the Cody library on the evening of Monday, Aug. 5.

Wyoming Right to Life sent its 20-question candidate questionnaires to every single Republican candidate as soon as their candidate filing was posted on the Secretary of State’s website.

We certainly do not favor incumbents over challengers, and the charge that we do is dangerous to our reputation in Wyoming. We even have, in five cases in this primary, endorsed two candidates for the same race. We hold each candidate to the same strict standard, namely, being 100% pro-life with no exceptions.

Wyoming Right to Life does not endorse candidates who support abortion ban exceptions for rape or incest, or candidates who support euthanasia or physician assisted suicide. We support all life from conception to natural death.

Candidates who returned a completed questionnaire and fell short for whatever reason were sent letters explaining exactly why we could not endorse their candidacies. Our letter explaining our inability to endorse his run was sent to Mr. Greer on July 10.
