PVHC wins national award for physician engagement

Powell Valley Healthcare has been named a 2021 Pinnacle of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey, the national leader in healthcare consumer and workforce engagement. Earlier this month, Press Ganey recognized Powell Valley Healthcare as a top-performing healthcare organization in physician engagement — showcasing exemplary levels of performance for a minimum of three consecutive years.

“We are fortunate to have an exceptional team of physicians and advance practice providers who are highly engaged with our staff and community,” said Terry Odom, CEO, PVHC.

Odom said the Pinnacle of Excellence Award demonstrates a steadfast commitment to fostering a culture that physicians value and that is motivated to take care of the communities it serves.

“Press Ganey is honored to recognize Powell Valley Healthcare as one of the nation’s leaders in physician engagement,” said Patrick T. Ryan, chairman and chief executive officer of Press Ganey. “Despite an era of incredible challenges, Powell Valley Healthcare has demonstrated resilience, constantly pushing boundaries as healthcare consumerism continues to gain momentum, driving advancements in improved outcomes for all.” Powell Valley Healthcare is one of three organizations across the country with less than 100 physicians recognized for their performance in physician engagement.

The Press Ganey Pinnacle of Excellence Award is a preeminent, competitive achievement for leading healthcare organizations. Presented annually, the award applauds hospitals and health systems that consistently sustained performance year-over-year.
