The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will conduct six open-house meetings throughout the Big Horn Basin — including one in Powell — and a final meeting in Cody to discuss 2022 hunting season proposals for small game, game birds and big game.

During the open houses, Game and Fish personnel will be available to discuss the proposed 2022 hunting seasons for local hunt areas.  Interested persons can review the proposed regulations online and submit public comments via wgfd.wyo.gov/Get-Involved/Public-Meetings.

The first meeting was held in Meeteetse on Monday night, with another set for 5-8 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at the Lovell Fire Hall.

Additional open houses will be held at the Washakie County Fairgrounds in Worland (6-8 p.m.) on Wednesday, Greybull Town Hall (5-8 p.m.) on Thursday and Thermopolis Fire Hall (6-8 p.m.) on Friday.

On Monday, March 28, from 6-8 p.m., department personnel will hold a final open house at Northwest College’s Yellowstone Conference Center in Powell.

Then on Tuesday, March 29, the Game and Fish will host a formal meeting in Cody, during which statewide seasons may be discussed. It’s set to run from 6-8 p.m. in the Park County Library’s Grizzly Hall. An online Zoom option is available by visting: us02web.zoom.us/j/82112815410.

Written comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. on April 1 online, at public meetings or by mailing: Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Regulations 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604. Written comments will be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to a public hearing at its April meeting in Lander.
