Dear Editor:
Regarding the March 17 letter titled, “Government cutbacks left us unprepared for virus crisis,” none of the sources argued that one meeting with then-President Barack Obama’s preparedness staff three years ago could have dramatically altered events today.
This is nothing more than a hit piece with no basis in reality. Dr. Anthony Fauci said, “I wouldn’t necessarily characterize it as a mistake” to eliminate the unit.
President Trump has taken swift action.
