The Powell High School volleyball team will begin the postseason on Thursday, competing in regionals. The Panthers will begin as the three-seed of the Class 3A Northwest regional quadrant in Worland.
They open the slate with a match against Lander Valley at 5 p.m. If PHS loses, its season is over. But if the Panthers win, they qualify for the 3A state tournament.
A win also means PHS would face the winner of Worland vs. Lovell in the second round of the regional quadrant.
Winners from the first games of the regional quadrants will head to Pinedale on Saturday to participate in regional cross-quadrant action, seeding teams for the state tournament.
PHS enters the weekend with a 7-9 record, most recently defeating Lovell in a four-set road match.
