Throughout the month of September, the Powell Library will host a Story Walk in collaboration with local Powell businesses.
Pages from the book “Snail Crossing” by Corey R. Tabor will be installed in business windows along Bent Street. The Story Walk begins at the Powell Library and ends at American West Realty after winding up and down Bent Street.
“Story Walks are fun ways for children and adults to enjoy reading while getting outdoors and interacting with their community,” Powell Library leaders say.
Participants can pick up a map showing the locations of the book pages at the Powell Library. When participants are finished, they can sign up for a library card and check out their very own book. The local event is being held in conjunction with National Library Card Sign-Up Month.
Participating businesses include: Northwest Trading Post, Big Horn Design Studios, 307 Real Estate, Wild Paintbrush Studios, Basin Law, the Powell Tribune, Heart Mountain Realty, Uncommon Grounds, Heritage Health, Engineering Associates, Powell Family Dental, Wilkerson Law Group, American West Realty, Plaza Diane, Heartworks and Powell Drug.
