Join the Powell High School Drama Club Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. for its rendition of “The Beverly Hillbillies, the Musical.”
The musical tribute to the classic TV show will follow the Clampett family from the Ozarks to Beverly Hills, California, after Elly May Clampett’s dad unexpectedly becomes a millionaire. Once in Beverly Hills, Elly May and the rest of the family have to adapt in the new high-class society.
The Dramatic Publishing Company describes the play as “a story about compassion and tolerance — with a little moonshine and Ozark stompin’ thrown in to spice it all up.”
Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults and will be sold at the door.
