Powell Golf Club held a Memorial Day Tournament on Monday, with teams of two playing a shamble on the front nine and best ball on the back nine.
Two teams — Macon Henry and Yancy Welch, and Brian Johnson and Justina Pahl — tied for first place through 18 holes with a 68, forcing a sudden death playoff. Henry and Welch won on the second playoff hole, when Henry sunk a match-ending putt.
Six teams tied for third at 3-under par 69: Andrea and Eric Berg; Patrick Croft and Casey Borcher; Charlie Cooley and Charlie Marchant; Brock and Cameron Frates; Clark Jeffs and Marc Saylor; and Chris and Cas Seago.
Three golfers carded deuces on the day: Brooks Roddan, Cameron Frates and Charlie Cooley.
