Powell Golf Club hosted its 2021 Masters Pick A Pro event on Saturday. Participants in the event played best-ball between their Saturday score (with 85% handicap adjustment) and the Sunday score of their chosen PGA golfer in the 2021 Masters Tournament.
In the men’s division, Roman Wilson (who picked Patrick Reed as his partner) came in first place with a net score of 13-under par, earning him $210. Three strokes behind him, Rhett Wolff (with Xander Schauffele) came in second at 10-under.
Eight golfers tied for third place at 8-under: Eric Berg (Jordan Spieth), Pat Day (Spieth), Rocky McLean (Schauffele), Bill Hendricks (Corey Conners), David DeBock (Spieth), Jerry Herweyer (Hideki Matsuyama), Toby Bonner (Spieth) and Steve Williams (Tony Finau).
For the men’s 65 and older and ladies’ division, Terry Lane (Spieth) came in first at 10-under. One stroke behind, Sue Blankenship (Jon Rahm) finished second at 9-under. Tied for third, Pete Pleban (Reed) and Bob Mason (Schauffele) scored 8-under. And in fifth, David Frost (Spieth) and Jen Pehringer (Will Zalatoris) tied at 7-under.
