Residents and businesses in a significant chunk of Powell will lose electricity for roughly an hour and a half — from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. — on Wednesday morning.
City officials plan to disconnect all power for customers in a trapezoid shaped area, bound by Fifth Street to the north, Absaroka Street to the east, Coulter Avenue to the south and Division Street to the west.
The power is being shut off in order to safely replace equipment on the city’s power distribution system.
