AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF THE COTTONWOOD VILLAGE SUBDIVISION, PARCEL I, FROM ITS CURRENT DESIGNATION OF A-C, AGRICULTURAL CULTIVATION TO R-L, LIMITED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, there has been previously annexed into the City of Powell the following real property, known as the Cason Addition, which property was annexed and zoned as A-C, Agricultural Cultivation District, per Chapter 17.64 of the Powell Municipal Code, by Ordinance No. 1, 2017, said real property more particularly described as follows:
THAT PART OF FARM UNIT “E”, ACCORDING TO THE FARM UNIT PLAT OR A PARCEL OF LAND WITHIN LOT 74-E, LOT 74, RESURVEY, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
POINT OF BEGINNING AT A 3½” BRASS CAP MARKING THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 74-E;
THENCE S.00°02’55”W., 1020.44 FEET; THENCE N.89°55’09”E., 24.09 FEET; THENCE S.00°15’27”W., 62.54 FEET; THENCE N.90°00’00”W., 23.99 FEET; THENCE N.89°43’07”W., 84.72 FEET; THENCE N.89°51’50”W., 144.80 FEET; THENCE S.00°08’35”W., 52.87 FEET; THENCE N.89°48’28”W., 115.06 FEET; THENCE N.89°53’56”W., 134.87 FEET; THENCE N.00°02’55”E., 160.32 FEET; THENCE S.89°48’36”W., 54.67 FEET; THENCE N.00°01’23”E., 260.08 FEET; THENCE N.89°56’25”W., 40.31 FEET; THENCE N.00°03’35”E., 714.87 FEET;
THENCE S.89°55’49”E., 574.62 FEET, MORE OR LESS TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING:
SAID PARCEL CONTAINING 14.14 ACRES, MORE OR LESS
WHEREAS, the property owners of the Cason Addition, have requested that the zoning for this annexed property be rezoned and designated as R-L, Limited Residential District, pursuant to Chapter 17.20 of the Powell Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, public hearings were held by the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission on November 30, 2020, at 7:00 o clock p.m., and by the Governing Body of the City of Powell on December 7, 2020, at 6:05 o clock p.m., in Council Chambers of City Hall, Powell, Park County, Wyoming, pursuant to notices given as required by law, regarding the proposed change in zoning designation and proposed ordinance changing said zoning district designation for the property, and;
WHEREAS, the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that the subject property be rezoned pursuant to the Property owner’s request, from its current zoning designation of A-C, Agricultural Cultivation District, to a zoning designation of R-L, Limited Residential District, pursuant to Chapter 17.20 of the Powell Municipal Code, and;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordained by the Governing Body of the City of Powell, Park County, Wyoming, as follows:
SECTION 1. The zoning designation for the Cottonwood Village Subdivision Parcel I is hereby changed from its current designation of A-C, Agricultural Cultivation District to a designation of R-L, Limited Residential General District pursuant to Chapter 17.20 of the Powell Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon adoption and publication as required by law.

PASSED on third reading, 7th day of January 2021.
