ORDINANCE NO. 12, 2021
AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF LOTS 1-9, BLOCK 1, CARY ADDITION, ORIGINAL TOWN OF POWELL, FROM RL, RESIDENTIAL LIMITED, TO RG, RESIDENTIAL GENERAL.
WHEREAS, there has been previously annexed into the City of Powell the following real property which was annexed and zoned as R-L, Residential Limited, per Chapter 17.20 of the Powell Municipal Code said real property more particularly described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Block 1, Cary Addition, Original Town of Powell
WHEREAS, the property owners have requested that the zoning for this property be rezoned and designated as RG, Residential General District, pursuant to Chapter 17.24 of the Powell Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, public hearings were held by the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission on November 29, 2021, at 7:00 o_clock p.m., and by the Governing Body of the City of Powell on December 6, 2021, at 6:00 o_clock p.m., in Council Chambers of City Hall, Powell, Park County, Wyoming, pursuant to notices given as required by law, regarding the proposed change in zoning designation and proposed ordinance changing said zoning district designation for the property, and;
WHEREAS, the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that the subject property be rezoned pursuant to the Property owner’s request, from its current zoning designation of R-L, Residential Limited to a zoning designation of RG, Residential General District, pursuant to Chapter 17.24 of the Powell Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordained by the Governing Body of the City of Powell, Park County, Wyoming, as follows:
SECTION 1. The zoning designation for the property described herein as Lots 1-9, Block 1, Cary Addition, Original Town of Powell, as is more particularly described herein, is hereby changed from its current designation of R-L, Residential Limited District, to a designation of RG, Residential General District pursuant to Chapter 17.24 of the Powell Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon adoption and publication as required by law.
