Dear Editor:
The definition of “respect”: “Due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others.”
It comes as no surprise to me that the Wyoming Board on Geographic Names has tabled a decision to rename a geologic formation near Meeteetse. The current name is disrespectful to a certain segment in particular of our population. But we now live in a society where disrespect has become a norm. History is written by the victors; my hope is that an inclusive, rather than a selfish, society will prevail.
