NOTICE OF HEARING OF APPEAL
At 9:35 a. m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, pursuant to the Park County, Wyoming 2015 Development Standards and Regulations (“DSR”), adopted September 15, 2015, the Board of Commissioners of Park County, Wyoming, will hold a public hearing to consider the Notice of Appeal of Todd and Shirley Bentley (“the Bentleys”) The Bentleys disagree with the Planning and Zoning Director’s (“Director”) decision to deny their Building/Zoning Permit Applications for 1) a storage addition to an existing structure and 2) an advertising sign, each related to “Clarks Fork Trading Company”, an apparent gun store. The Director’s decision was based upon the Declaration of Restrictions that apply to the property described as Lot 42 of Quarter Circle Four R Ranch Subdivision, addressed at 93 Canyon Road (“the Property”), which prohibit conducting any trade/business/commercial use and forbid signs/advertising.
The appellant is seeking the Board of County Commissioners’ approval of the Building/Zoning Applications, thereby overturning the Director’s decision.
The public hearing will be held in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Original Park County Courthouse, 1002 Sheridan Avenue, Cody, Wyoming. Any person may appear at the hearing and offer either written or oral testimony. Comments or testimony submitted in advance of the hearing shall be submitted to the Commissioners’ Executive Assistant by no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024.
