Bills to win super bowl?

If you had said to me two months ago that the New York Giants would be 6-1, the New York Jets would be a game out of first place in the AFC East at 5-2 and the Philadelphia Eagles would be 6-0, I would have called you crazy.

While I did love the drafts of all three of these teams alongside some key offseason editions, I did not expect any of these teams to make the leap this quickly.

Despite not having the most talented team in the world, especially at the quarterback position, the Giants continue to prove they are a tough team by continuing to win close games. It’s a trend that will either continue or falter moving forward.

Throughout the first half of the season there has been a lot of controversy, Matt Rhule already being fired leading to a Christian McCaffrey trade, the Tua Tagovailoa concussion and the ongoing situation in Cleveland.

People expected the Broncos to become a contender with the addition of Russell Wilson, but they have been anything but that so far.

Denver’s coach Nathaniel Hackett is likely already coaching for his job midway through the season, with a strong roster severely underperforming.

Heading into this second half of the season I can tell you that the Giants have already exceeded my expectations for the season, and even if they lose out they will have won one more game than I thought they would coming in.

This second half of the season will hopefully be just as exciting as the first, and will lead to some likely fun playoff matchups between younger quarterbacks.

Knowing what we know so far, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady might be hoping they had retired in the offseason and ended the 2000s quarterback era.

Rodgers does not have a reliable receiver to throw to and Brady with the Buccaneers cannot seem to find that consistent winning formula that they have held the previous two years.

Will they figure it out? I think so.

Will they be Super Bowl contenders? Not likely.

Despite the poor records, it is somehow still hard to bet against Brady should he make the playoffs, but this year appears to be like last with no championship banner in sight.

The Bills and Chiefs will continue to be frontrunners in the AFC, with a resurgent Dolphins team now that Tua has returned from his scary concussion(s).

In the NFC, I feel like the Eagles will stumble in the coming weeks and make things a closer race down the line.

The Giants will stumble, and sneak into the playoffs — which may lead to an unprecedented three teams from the NFC East making the post season this year.

A Vikings surge still feels imminent in the NFC North, and they will continue to hold on and win that division.

Despite bad play on offense so far the Los Angeles Rams will return to form, alongside a revamped San Francisco 49ers offense with McCaffrey to make the postseason and pass the Seattle Seahawks.

The AFC South per usual is a mess, with the Titans holding onto a small lead in that division. That one is impossible to predict, but I think the benching of Matt Ryan will be positive and lead the Colts to a division title.

In the AFC North, the Ravens and Bengals have had slow starts but I feel like the Bengals have a better chance to win the division with their ability to win closer games.

For the postseason I feel as if the Bills and Chiefs are on a collision course in the AFC Championship game after last year’s divisional thriller.

The NFC will be much tougher to predict. I feel the Rams will figure it out and push through to the championship game and will meet either the Vikings or Eagles.

In the Super Bowl I think the Bills will pull it off, with the most complete roster in the league pulling through in Glendale, Arizona, on Feb. 12.
