The Michael Waltrip Brewing Company, founded by the Daytona 500 champion, has finalized an agreement with Cody-based Tanager Beverages that will allow the company’s products to be distributed in the Big Horn Basin.
The company’s “Two-Time” line up of beers will debut in Wyoming June 1, marking the fourth state in which Michael Waltrip Brewing Company beers are available, joining Arizona, Idaho and Oregon.
“When we had a chance to try Michael’s beer, we knew that his approachable style would be a hit here in Wyoming,” said Tanager Beverages Sales Manager Joe Kondelis.
Tanager will distribute the company’s Two-Time trio: a “Blonde” ale; a coconut India pale ale called “Checkered Past”; and “Vamanos,” a Mexican-style Lager. Each drink “stems from Waltrip’s own quest to enjoy life’s moments with a great beer, one with high quality ingredients and craftsmanship that also tastes great and goes down easy,” the company says.
Michael Waltrip Brewing Company also is a sponsor of this season’s Cody Nite Rodeo, which runs from June through August. All three Two-Time varieties will be available for rodeo fans at Cody Stampede Park.
“We are thrilled to be able to partner with Tanager Beverages and the Kondelis family to bring MWB’s lineup of beers to Wyoming,” Waltrip said. “We know the folks in Wyoming love their beer and rodeos, as well as racing. We think they will enjoy our easy-to-drink style of beer, too.”
Tanager will carry all three MWB styles of beer in both cans and draught. The company operates in Park, Big Horn, Hot Springs and Washakie counties.
