JoLee May Schriner, 59, was born on March 19, 1962, and peacefully went home to be with our Lord on Nov. 28, 2021. She was met at the gates of heaven by all of her loved ones who passed before her and was welcomed with open arms.

She is no longer feeling any pain or suffering, and her body is finally whole again. We rejoice at this newfound peace for her and at the same time feel so much loss and grief here in her absence.

She had a heart of gold and was always finding ways to look out for others. This did not go unnoticed from the people she impacted with her kindness.

Although her life ended before we were ready, the time that she spent in our lives was memorable and full of joy. She absolutely loved all of her family and friends and we loved her.

Some of her favorite things were a great conversation over coffee with a friend, traveling, spending time with her family, and playing board and card games. She loved nature and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. She used to enjoy walking the hills looking for rocks and arrowheads and always had a camera ready to capture all of her favorite memories.

Our mom was one of a kind and wanted nothing but the best for her two children, Travis and Sarah. They were her world and she lived for them and their families. Their accomplishments were her accomplishments. Their successes were her successes. She wanted nothing more than for her children to be safe, secure, and loved by the people in their lives.

It gives us so much peace knowing that our mom passed away proud of us, supportive of us, and wanting nothing but happiness for us. She did everything she could to help us be successful and we could never thank her enough for the sacrifices she went through to give us that chance.

Her grandsons Aiden Williams, Brayden Schriner and Camden Schriner brought a light to her world she didn’t know she was missing until she became their Grandma Jo. The memories that she gave each of them in their short years will never be forgotten. She lived for these boys and they will miss her guidance, hugs, and constant reminders of how proud they made her.

We would like to give a special thanks to her lifelong and special friends who were always there for her. She loved you all and valued your friendships more than you will ever know.

She is survived by her son, Travis (Len) Schriner, of Basin, Wyoming; and daughter, Sarah (Eddie) Williams, of Williston, North Dakota; her very special best friend, Daniel Jacobson, of Powell, who was a guardian angel to our mom on earth (We hope we have been able to convey to him how much we truly appreciate the love and support he always gave to her.); sisters, Marie (Randy) Sander Buffalo, Wyoming, Missi (Jay) Suchor Gillette, Wyoming, and Cassie (Justin) Green Sheridan, Wyoming; brother, Mike Velos, Gillette, Wyoming; and stepdad, Andy (Janet) Trujillo of Buffalo, Wyoming. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who she loved so much and checked on often.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Jean Trujillo, father Patrick Shane, and grandparents.

Our family is sending out love and light to all who knew and loved our mom during this sad time. We feel your love and take comfort in all your prayers.

There was a celebration of life and viewing on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Atwood Funeral Home in Basin, Wyoming.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
