Powell Panthers will celebrate Homecoming this week with a variety of activities, culminating with Friday night’s football game.

Throughout the week, Powell High School students are donning fun outfits for different dress-up days. Monday was pajama/crazy hair day, while today (Tuesday) is Hawaiian/hat day. On Wednesday, students will wear colors representing their different classes, with freshmen in yellow, sophomores wearing red, juniors going green and seniors dressing up in blue.

Thursday will be iconic duos/twin day, while students and staff will finish out the week with their orange-and-black Panther Pride on Friday.

On Wednesday evening, the Homecoming Olympics will return to the Park County Fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the PHS volleyball teams will host Lander Valley High School, with freshmen competing at 4 p.m. and the junior varsity squad taking the court at 5 p.m. The varsity volleyball teams will square off beginning at 6 p.m.

Also on Thursday, the PHS girls swim team will host a dual at the Powell Aquatic Center beginning at 5 p.m.

The Homecoming parade returns to downtown Powell on Friday, beginning at 1:15 p.m. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. Friday at Panther Stadium, as the Panther varsity football team takes on the Douglas Bearcats. Homecoming royalty will be recognized at halftime.
