The Good Old Boys golf league at Powell Golf Club rolled into September with “1 and 2” as the game of the week. On Sept. 7, four-man teams used one gross ball and two net balls on each hole for their score.
Finishing in first place with a score of 208 was the team of Lloyd Snyder, Clark Jeffs, Marc Saylor and the blind of draw of Judge Gambill. In second place with a score of 211 was the team of Thom Seliga, Kury Reynolds, Paul Devoss and Bob Mason. Jerry Linsdau, Buddy Rae, Gerry Johns and Cas Seago posted the third place score of 218.
In fourth place with a score of 222 was the team of Kevin Lineback, Manuel Briseno, Dennis McColllum and Gambill. The fifth place score of 223 was carded by Ed Swistak, Bob Parsons, Steve Burtoft and Jim Tobin.
Deuce pot money was split by three golfers: Snyder and Linsdau had birdies on hole No. 8 and Swistak on hole No. 15. The low gross score for the day was a 77 by Jeffs, and low net went to Burtoft with a 67.
