Starting out August the Good Old Boys played a game of Stableford on Aug. 5, where each net par is one point, each net birdie is two points, each net eagle is three points and anything lower is five points.

First place went to the team of Thom Seliga, Joe Comer, Steve Burtoft and Bob Mason with 64 points.

Just two points behind them in second was the quartet of Ed Swistak, Jim Core, Larry Hedderman and Don Hardy.

Third place went to the team of Paul Devoss, Rhett Wolff, Curt Dugger and Dave Frost with a 61.

Finishing out the team scores in fourth place with a 53 was the group of Bob Varian, Dennis McCollum, Cas Seago and Lloyd Snyder.

Two deuces were carded, one by Wolff on No. 17 and another by Seago on No. 4.

The low net went to Burtoft with a 72 and the low gross went to Hardy with an 81.

Continuing on Aug. 12, the Good Old Boys played a game of Modified Shamble.

In this game, a four man team uses their best drive then each player plays their own ball, while using one net ball on par 5’s, two net balls on par 4’s and three net balls on par 3’s.

First place with a team score of 100 went to the group of Burtoft, Swistak, McCollum and Varian.

Three strokes behind in second was the group of Dugger, Core, Seago and Comer.

Third place went to the team of Snyder, Frost, Clark Jeffs and Ray Nelson with a 110.

Fourth place ended with a score of 116 to round out the scores, made up of Mason, Wolff, Judge Gambill and Devoss.

Four deuces were carded, two on hole No. 4 by Nelson and Mason, along with two on No. 8 by Snyder and Jeffs.

Swistak had the low gross of 72 and the low net of 55.
