Dear Editor:

Anthropology and archeology have adventurous flavors that I still remember, from my experiences as an undergraduate; even after so many years since graduating from the University of Wyoming. I have to say that my fondest memories came about because I remember how very enthusiastic Dr. George Frison focused our youthful class’ attention on some obsidian and a hammer stone before he handily started shaping a new razor-sharp cutting blade.

To this day I can still repeat for others some of what we learned in that particularly superb lecture we attended that one day in 1973. This one professor named George was definitely a hands-on type individual whose love of the ancient crafts has left a lasting impression on me. He is one educator who must have a huge following.

I will definitely miss him!
