Dear Editor:

Thank you Kevin Killough, for your opinion piece in the Dec. 16 Tribune. Scare tactics are the truths of our society today.

The global warming (now called climate change) activists have never given us any verifiable scientific facts to fit the narratives that they fill the airwaves with. The words they use are “might, may be and it is possible.” None of those words tell us that facts follow in their wake. So, since they can’t make us believe them, they try to scare us with people like Greta Thunberg, the little prepubescent climate warrior who must have never smiled in her life. 

Greta and her newfound adult celebrity friends show us just how much they believe in the climate change problem by whisking around in their private jets puking out tons of dreaded CO2 to the events that are created to prove to us that we all need to change our ways. That is, all of us excluding themselves, of course.

Fact: Our climate changes and has done so since long before man came along!

When COVID hit, there weren’t many facts to be had, so our government began to make them up and they are still doing so. First they lock us down, then they tell us we can’t leave home without a mask. New York and California are total failures when it comes to lockdowns and mask wearing yet they continue to pursue that rhetoric.

DATA suggests that healthy young children have little to no risk for COVID-related hospitalization, but then our “health professionals” tell us they must be vaccinated with a truly unproven vaccine that has shown that it does not stop the viral infection. This is not an indictment of the vaccines that were developed, but it was NEVER sold as a cure to eradicate the disease, but to minimize the risk of hospitalization and/or death.

Now “our” government is terrorizing the public by telling them they will lose their jobs and can’t go to school if they are not vaccinated. We are being told we will die if we don’t get vaccinated. Children are losing their sense of worth and self and dying because of it. 

What they consider “facts” change constantly. COVID is only important when it controls American citizens yet not the millions of illegals now in this country. How are we supposed to trust anyone in “our” government ever again?

Fact: Masks don’t work! When I wear one and my glasses fog up, it means air is escaping. And, what about people with full beards and mustaches, or those who don’t wear their masks properly?

Fact: Children are not as vulnerable to COVID death. Yes, they can get it and they can spread it but so can everyone else, both the vaccinated and unvaccinated. 

Fact: Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people can end up in the hospital and possibly die. Science is no longer the science of truth, but “science” paid for by those expecting a predetermined conclusion. Math seems to be going in that direction too. After all, two plus two doesn’t have to be four; it can be five or six or 100. Demanding that it is always four is now considered racist. Does that mean that not swallowing the climate change narrative and the COVID narrative is also racist? If it isn’t yet it will be soon!
