Special Use Designation
at Outlaw Trailhead
The Bureau of Reclamation, in compliance with Code of Federal Regulations 43 CFR 423.60 and 423.61, is designating the Outlaw Trailhead area east of Newton Lakes as a day-use-only trailhead to protect area natural resources and environmental and scenic values. This special use designation applies to Reclamation land northeast of the Newton Lakes Recreation Area and west of County Road 7WC in the south half of Section 23 and in the north half of Section 26, T53N R102W, Park County, WY. A map of the proposed day use area is available upon request.
Overnight camping will be prohibited, and recreational public use will be limited to day use. The designation will be effective 15 days after publication of this notice. Questions, comments, or map requests can be directed to Joe Felgenhauer at 307-261-5697 or jgfelgenhauer@usbr.gov.
