Regular Meeting
Tuesday, June 9, 2020
Chairman Tilden called to order a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Park County, Wyoming, on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Present were Vice Chairman, Lee Livingston, Commissioners, Dossie Overfield, Jake Fulkerson, Lloyd Thiel, and Clerk Colleen Renner.
Clerk Renner led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Park County Deputy Clerk, Hans Odde – RE: Approve Malt Beverage Liquor License
The application was never received.
Park County Attorney, Bryan Skoric – RE: Victim Witness Program Grant – Budget Shortfall
Attorney Skoric Informed the commissioners of the $14,512.54 grant program shortfall, which equals about a 9% cut. Skoric explained that these positions are a tremendous benefit to the day to day function of the Attorney’s office. The positions handle coordinating with law enforcement, preparing subpoenas and working with victims. The program has been in place for more than seventeen years and has never experienced a shortfall in the program. Skoric asked the commissioners to consider funding this shortfall in the upcoming budget year and he will further evaluate how to fund it going forward. Commissioner Fulkerson made a motion to approve this amount for the upcoming budget, Commissioner Livingston seconded, and after further discussion, motion carried.
Park County Commissioners – RE: Public Health Variance Request Discussion to Loosen Restrictions on Park County Businesses
Bill Crampton, Public Health Director, Jack Tatum, Homeland Security and Dr. Billin, Public Health Officer presented an update on the COVID-19 situation. After a lengthy discussion about opening more of the county for the smaller businesses to operate it was decided to wait to see the new State Health Orders before working together to create a variance request for Park County. The Commissioners will do some more research and decide whether to pursue a variance for Park County at the next scheduled meeting.

Commissioner Overfield made a motion to adjourn, Commissioner Livingston seconded, and the motion carried.
