Dear Editor:
This is in response to the article in the April 1 paper about “The Plastic Problem.”
The way I see it, the commissioners are helping create the problem with blowing plastic. The commissioners are not in support of our recycling community, in fact doing their level best to de fund it.
Much of the blowing plastic is recyclable and, in my opinion, with community awareness, training and FUNDING, the blowing plastic problem could be lessened to a degree, maybe substantially.
In the past couple of years it has been apparent at least a few of our commissioners do not support the recycling effort and as a community I feel we should start pushing for the support needed. I am not one to advocate for taxing of any kind but in this case steps need to be taken to lessen the waste created by our society.
