A Saturday class at the Cody Country Art League, led by Colleen Drury, will cover how “Color Speaks Louder Than Words.”
The 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. class will be held in the art league’s large classroom (with ample room for social distancing) or outdoors. The cost is $75, or $67.50 for league members.
Drury will cover basic color theory, then jump into how color affects our emotions and how to make color work best for each student.
Students should come with an 11x14 or 12x16 canvas, panel or watercolor paper, brushes and paint medium of their choice.
The choice of medium makes no difference, Drury says, “bring whatever you prefer to work with to complete a colorful painting.”
The instructor will provide reference material choices. Cody Country Art League is located at 836 Sheridan Ave., inside the same building that houses the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce.
On July 25-26, Suzie Warner will lead a class titled Mosaics 101. For more information, visit codycountryartleague.com or call 307-587-3597.
