Brittany Christensen of Powell has graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine WWAMI Program.
On Saturday, May 23, Christensen was formally hooded as a medical doctor via Zoom with her Wyoming classmates in Laramie, and then recognized with all the WWAMI students through the University of Washington’s livestream ceremony from Seattle.
She graduated from Powell High School in 2011 and from the University of Oklahoma in 2015.
Christensen will begin her internal medicine residency program through Billings Clinic in July.
She is the third generation of Drs. Christensen from Powell — following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Dr. Ray Christensen, and her father, Dr. Kelly Christensen of Powell Valley Healthcare. Her mother is Mindy Christensen and her husband is Jayson Nicholson.
