Dear Editor:
The Tribune’s recent story “Conference Hopes To Help Resolve Wild Horse Overpopulation” about wild horses caught my attention, since it is premised on a basic misrepresentation by the Bureau of Land Management at the highest ranks.
Believe it or not, there’s an easy cost-effective way for the BLM to deal with wild horses. The BLM won’t do it because they won’t make as much money internally and via their “pals.”
And amazingly, the plan (can be read at: www.WHFB.us) they are avoiding in their so-called “conferences” and discussions actually creates more, not less, grazing for livestock, while reducing catastrophic wildfire, according to the best science today. And the best part is this plan saves taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars annually.
