Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area is partnering with ZooMontana to help educate the public about birds (and maybe snakes).
At 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26 at the Billings zoo, join ZooMontana Education Coordinator Katie Elam and Bighorn Canyon Ranger Ellie Lorenz to learn about the raptors that live in Bighorn Canyon. During this program, attendees will see some of the live birds of prey that call southeastern Montana home, including turkey vultures and red-tailed hawks.
Meanwhile, for anyone interested in learning about what it takes to become a park ranger, Lorenz will be set up before and after the bird program to answer questions.
For more information about this program, call the Yellowtail Dam Visitor Center at 406-666-9961 or ZooMontana at 406-652-8100.
