Dear Editor:
A big boo and hiss to the folks at Wells Fargo for closing down the Powell branch and shipping all personnel to Cody. A telephone call to that branch unearthed the nugget that this is the new normal for the summer. This move very clearly demonstrates the value Wells Fargo places on the business transacted by Powell residents.
The people who run the Powell branch are all wonderful to work with and it isn’t surprising that they are needed to assist in Cody; however, when the institution takes actions that require its customers to travel 30 miles to cash a check, it shouldn’t be surprised if, upon its return to Powell, it has dramatically fewer customers.
Sincerely,
Clinton E. Phillips
