Dear Editor:
Thank you, Kevin Killough, for writing a great and informative article about the recent protest in Cody against the vaccine mandate. The people you spoke to had so much to say, not just about themselves but about our society as a whole and what we all are going through.
Right now our Democratic administration is holding all of us hostage. They are threatening our medical establishments by withholding funds from Medicare and Medicaid if all their employees aren’t vaccinated. How much longer will it be before they penalize our other medical insurers for paying for the care of unvaccinated people? How many people will then lose their medical coverage if they are not vaccinated?
Probably the most telling statement was made by Linda Hordichok. She stated that in medical ethics 101, healthcare givers are taught that “a patient has the right to refuse treatment, even if it’s good for them.”
We are presently under the control of a government who ignores the laws of the land then makes rules — not laws — we all must follow while exempting themselves from those same rules. We could go to jail for not following their rules but they aren’t going to jail for not following the laws of the land.
This same government also thinks riots are peaceful, even though hundreds, if not thousands, of people have lost their businesses and livelihoods to those “peaceful protests.” And, now looting and rioting, using any excuse at all is the norm.
The people in Cody held a true protest. No harm was done to anyone and the signs they held said everything that needed to be said.
At the beginning of this letter I asked “Are you tired yet?”
You should be tired of being told what can and can’t go into your own bodies and the bodies of your children. You should be tired of seeing businesses everywhere being destroyed both by government mandate and by people who care only about how much damage they can get away with. You should be tired of being called racist at every turn. And you should really be tired of politicians who say one thing and do another.
Sincerely,
Linda and Bob Graff
