Amy Jo Kvia passed away on Oct. 26, 2021.
Amy was born on May 25, 1975, to Jerry Lee Dietrich and Karen Kvia, in Denver, Colorado.
Amy had many hobbies and interests. She could spend hours out in the middle of nowhere staring at the ground in search of pretty or interesting rocks and arrowheads.
She collected trinkets and animals like most people collect socks, having had ferrets, sugar gliders and dogs as her favorite pets.
Growing up, she participated in 4-H and FFA, showing cows, pigs and horses. She showed every year in the Powell County Fair. Amy loved to sing and had the voice of an angel, even performing in a local talent show while she was still in high school.
Amy had the uncanny ability for making friends wherever she went and in whatever she was doing. She always put others before herself and unselfishly helped anyone who needed or asked her for help. In some instances, she may not have wanted to.
She had a knack for getting people to do whatever she wanted, even if they didn’t know they wanted to. She was great with kids and loved spending time with all her cousins’ children, her nephew, and her son.
Amy was preceded in death by Zachary Dehaan.
Survivors include her parents; her partner Kyle Shott; her son Braden Wilder; her sisters, Joslyn Dietrich and Jolen Dietrich; nephew Kaidynce Lind; nieces, Elizabeth (Cody) Strauch and Josalyn Smith (both of Idaho); and her cousins, Jessy (Thomas) Watts, Christy Tharp, Mike (Tammy) Kvia, Marcie (Travis) Netzer, Rudy Paul Dehaan, and all their children.
A celebration of Amy’s life will be at the Elks Lodge in Powell, on Nov. 7, from 1 to 3 p.m.
