Timothy Andrew Schmidtberger, 48, died unexpectedly on Dec. 16, 2017, at his home in Cody.

Tim was born in Acadia, California. He went to Monrovia High School and played trombone as a member of the Wildcat Marching Band. He also attended Pasadena City College.

Tim moved to Cody in the mid 1990s and began his 20-plus year career working at Y-Tex where he made many wonderful friends with his kind heart, winning smile and keen sense of humor. This is also where he met Joy, who became the love of his life. They married and had a beautiful daughter, Emily, of whom he was immensely proud.

Tim most enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs, fishing, tending the vegetable garden, talking about current events and making people laugh.

He is survived by his loving family: wife Joy; daughter Emily; parents Michael and Susan Schmidtberger; sister Michele Schimdtberger; mother-in-law Joanne Spicer; sister- and brother-in-law Jennifer and Mark Stanchfield; grandmother Margaret; godparents Tom and Linda; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his two fur babies, Snowflake and Libby.

Tim will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Michael Schmidtberger.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. at Ballard Funeral Home, 636 19th St, Cody, WY.
