Local churches and organizations will host a Stand for Life event at Washington Park on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.
“Believing that the lives of children in the womb are of the same value and worth as all human life, we will be gathering to affirm the biblical position on life,” organizers said.
Those gathered Saturday also will pray for the nation to “recognize abortion for what it is and seek to decisively end it.” Organizers also plan to provide concrete ways that people can stand for life everyday. There also will be an opportunity to support Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center in Powell and Cody.
Local churches organizing Saturday’s event include: The Powell Ministerial Association, Garland Community Church of God, Powell Church of Christ, Living Hope Community Church, Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene, Grace Point, Cody CMA Church, Park County Right to Life, Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center and the Knights of Columbus.
